This was supposed to be cover art for a scrapped project. Might use it if I can get back into a writing mood.

Waylon Thornton - Time

junglerot:

Another new song. Life has been so hectic and busy and mundane lately that I haven’t been writing or recording. I’m trying to remedy that, hope you guys dig the new stuff.

Thin Lizzy - Wild One (1975)

Launched into a fun conversation on twttr starting w “I’ve always been more interested in what’s NOT popular (yet), than what EVERYONE is watching + listening to (now)." A bunch of folks and friends on ‘the internet’ have been mulling over the idea and what it means to us. Thought I’d break this out here, too.

If we can post and discover anything we want in the universe, why do same bands, brands and memes make the same top spots throughout the media life cycle?

Mark is one of my favorite writers on music, in particular in the “blog-o-sphere”, because he makes an effort to not get wrapped up in the generic nature of music blogging. This is an idea that I’ve pondered on a lot, and one which has made me stop sending my music to blogs.

Goddamn Snake Killin Blues

junglerot:

New track, literally just recorded this one. Had a rough day yesterday. It was my dad’s birthday, so I stopped by his house to drop off his present, and found the family dog of 11 years dead on the steps, with a rattle snake curled up underneath her.

Had to frantically send my son into the house and grab a shotgun. That wasn’t a fun phone call to make to my dad. Ugh.

Anyways, here’s my therapy on that issue.
