Here it is, the new Waylon Thornton & The Heavy Hands album, Enter The Coven.
Not much to say about it, it’s been in the works for the past month or so, wrapped up the last song this morning.
I thought about holding onto it, “shopping it around” to labels and whatever, but I can’t sit on a project. That just seems stupid. If anyone wants to release it, they can hit me up, but I’m not going to hold it hostage while I wait for somebody to make their mind up.
If you like it, please share! I’ll be dubbing some tapes and putting them out under my tape label, Cool Tapes, so those will be online soon and available and shows.
There will also be an EP (or possibly another album?) following shortly since I ended up writing way more songs for this than I planned.
Anyways, enjoy!

Loner track from a while back. Kind of “dub”-ish, mostly just echo-y and out there. There’s some djembe in there.

Some mind numbing, cave man, sewer dwelling synth punk thing I recorded this afternoon. Don’t think it’s going on the record, but I think it’s bizarre enough to share. Still experimenting around with synths, not sure where I’m going with it all.
It’s called “Collecting Teeth”.

What y’all think?

Wrote this late one night a few months ago. It’s about finding a book and being possessed by the book, etc. I’ll be interested to see what the final tally is of songs I’ve written about possession when I’m lying on my death bed.

Playing with BAZOOKA, PAINT FUMES, NEW COKE, and THEE HOLY GHOSTS this weekend in Gainesville. Definition of rager.
December 9th we’re playing with SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS. Totally freaking out about that. One of my favorite bands as a teenager.
Got a split 7” coming out in early 2013 with our best buds in THE EX-BOOGEYMEN. Features two tracks from us that are different from the norm, but should sound super slick on vinyl and featuring two tracks from the Boogeymen that were recorded in my studio and produced by moi.

My label, WHITE MOON RECORDINGS, has a new release. Go diggg it.
WOAH! Here’s our newest release, from Toronto’s DIFFERENT SKELETONS. The album is called “SECRET JEERS” and it will make you move, think, feel, all that good shit.
It’s a killer record and when we heard it we immediately wanted it to be a WMR release!
Go check it out on their Bandcamp now and download it! We’ll have a mediafire link in our “RELEASES” section soon!
